Data we process
As part of registration for the choir competition, we process the data you provide in the registration form (including information about the choir, the conductor, and contact persons, as well as the selected song entries), a digital photo of the choir, and, optionally, an uploaded report (PDF) on the choir's history and activities. For access to the registration area, we also process the e-mail address used to log in, together with the timestamp and IP address of each login, for security purposes. In addition, technical log files are generated in the course of operating this website.
Purpose
We process this data to organise and run the choir competition, to enable the jury to select participating choirs, to produce the programme booklet, and for the public presentation of the competition (e.g. publication of the choir photo and description in the programme booklet and on this website), as well as to contact registered choirs.
Legal basis
Processing takes place to initiate and perform the participation contract in accordance with Art. 6 (1) b GDPR. The logging of login timestamps and IP addresses is carried out to ensure the security of our systems on the basis of our legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) f GDPR.
Retention
Data collected during registration is retained until the end of the choir competition and for a further year thereafter. Account and login data is deleted 12 months after the last login. Photos of participating choirs may remain in the event archive beyond these periods.
Recipients
Your data is shared, to the extent necessary, with the members of the jury, with the event's moderation team, and with the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF) in connection with the programme. We also engage a hosting provider as a processor, who acts solely on our instructions.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, and restriction of processing, as well as the right to object to the processing of your data. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian data protection authority (Datenschutzbehörde, dsb.gv.at).
Cookies
This website uses only one strictly necessary session cookie, required for the operation of the registration area. No tracking or analysis of your usage behaviour takes place.
